The registration desk is open each day from 08:00 to 16:00.
STAF 2017 offers 1-day, 4-days, and 5-days passes. If you choose a 1-day or 4-days pass, you have to declare the days on which you will attend STAF during the registration process. The registration includes access to all main events, satellite events, coffee breaks, lunches, and social events (except for the conference dinner) taking place on the days you registered for. This applies also for discounted student registrations. The conference dinner is included in Regular 4-days and 5-days passes. Regular registrants choosing a 1-day pass or Student registrants can buy extra conference dinner tickets during the registration process.
The early registration ends with June 7, midnight Central European Time (CET, GMT+01:00). Late registrations are possible until July 10, midnight CET. Thereafter, on-site registrations at the conference are possible.

Extra Tickets for Social EventsFor accompanying persons, 1-day and student registrants, extra tickets for the conference dinner on Tuesday are available at € 50.
Hotel BookingYou can book your hotel during the registration process. In that case, special rates apply if you book before the early registration deadline. We have reserved a liberal contingent of rooms in the offered hotels, and the reduced fees apply while rooms are available within this contingent. Rooms are booked on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please note that the registration page contains two separate forms for registration and hotel booking, and make sure to submit the first one (“Forward”) before you start the hotel booking process.
For each accepted paper at least one author has to be registered by the early registration deadline for the day the paper presentation takes place (the schedule will be published in due time before the early registration deadline). This applies for accepted conference papers, TTC papers, workshop papers, doctoral symposium papers, project showcase papers. The author may register paying the regular fee or the discounted student fee if applicable.
For registrations at the student rate, a proof of the student status, such as a confirmation of registration provided by the university or a confirmation letter of the PhD advisor, has to be provided during the registration.
Student Registration GrantsSTAF 2017 offers funds for supporting student registrations. These funds are meant to encourage students to participate in STAF 2017, who would otherwise not be able to attend. Applications must be submitted on or before May 29, 2017 and notifications of acceptance will be sent on June 5, 2017. Applicants should not register for the conference before they received the acceptance notice. If you need a visa for traveling to Germany, we can provide you with the invitation letter needed for obtaining the visa. You have to fulfill the following prerequisites to acquire this invitation letter:
- You have to be already registered for STAF 2017.
- You need to have an accepted paper at one of the STAF 2017 events.
